DISTRICT 1: (Luxury Items) The finer things in life may not always be necessary, but they can be appreciated nonetheless. Then again, sometimes the best things in life aren't physical things.

DISTRICT 2: (Masonry) Peacekeeper or stonemason, are you keeping the law by any cost, or being rock steady for another?

DISTRICT 3: (Technology and Mechanics) Even the poorer districts have their share of electronics and gadgets. Sometimes they're a help, and other times a hindrance.

DISTRICT 4: (Fishing) Patience is key when it comes to fishing. Have you got it, and the skill to get what you're after?

DISTRICT 5: (Power) Is it a good thing or a bad thing when the power is down? Or is there another kind of power that's key right now?

DISTRICT 6: (Transportation) Everyone's going somewhere. Sometimes it takes a car or a plane to get there, and other times the place you want to be is just down the street, or even just down the hallway.

DISTRICT 7: (Lumber) It can be a long wait before trees are ready to cut down. You've been waiting for something for a long time too.

DISTRICT 8: (Textiles) Clothes can be many things. A simple necessity. A luxury. Something to be enjoyed. Some make a statement, or are for specific occasions. Are you getting dressed (or undressed) for a reason?

DISTRICT 9: (Grain) Pita bread or Peeta bread? Or do you prefer your grain in liquid form instead?

DISTRICT 10: (Livestock) Friend, food, or fur coat?

DISTRICT 11: (Agriculture) Time to live off the land, or at least enjoy the great outdoors, whether it's gardening, picnicking, or taking a moment to do a bit of hunting.

DISTRICT 12: (Coal Mining) Coal can turn into pearls! Okay, no, it can't, but with enough pressure they can turn into diamonds. Good things can come out of hard situations, and some come out stronger for what they've survived.

DISTRICT 13: (Nuclear Weapons) Everything has gone to shit. Time for those fight or flight responses to kick in. Do you bunker down or face the conflict head on?

THE CAPITOL: It's player's choice because in the Capitol you can have just about anything.

[He makes a small frustrated noise, resting his forehead against the door. It's not like he's really good with technology or anything, but he's picked up a few things from his time with Beetee.]

Good job, Catnip. I'm sure you've broken the door. [He doesn't sound angry or anything. Slightly amused though. Taking a step back, he pulls out a knife and slides it in the crack where the door meets the wall. Maybe he can jimmy it open.]

It was broken before I got to it! [Huffpuff.]

[But she hears the movement, picks up on Gale's intent in getting the door open and waits. Only it's a few moments of that before she starts talking again.] Is it working?

[inveigled]

[Uh huh. It was working just fine for him, but he decides to actually bite back on that retort.]

I don't - [The door gives a groan before hissing open, and he's staring down at her. There's a moment of surprise on his face before it's covered up by a smirk.] -know. Guess so.

[The door opens and she finds herself blinking in her own surprise at Gale, but the smirk makes her a little huffy.]

Don't let it go to your head. [Even if she's maybe fighting off a grin of her own. When's the last time something so ridiculous happened between them like that?]

[inveigled]

You mean the fact that I got the door opened? Wouldn't dare let a thing like that go to my head. [He's teasing. It's not really that great, but he does kind of like the idea that he's rescued her from further destroying the door and screwing this up.]

We still have a little bit of time if you want to go.

[accidentalspark]

[Katniss rolls her eyes, but it's probably a sign that things aren't super awkward.]

[So is the way she reacts when he suggests still going outside. She nods, a little too quickly.] Yes. [A beat; wait no, too eager.] I mean, there's still time, we should.

[And she gestures for him to get out of the way and start walking. She doesn't really want to be stuck inside and underground in Thirteen anymore than she has to.]

[Gale pauses. He catches that eagerness, and for a moment, he honestly has no idea what to do with it. He's never been all that awkward before, but now it's just like an open wound with Katniss.

But when she gestures for him to move, he does, shouldering his bow again as he takes the lead with easy strides.] Might as well have something to show for it so that we don't have to tell them that their girl was defeated by a door.

[accidentalspark]

[She huffs, glaring a little at him even though he can't see it, and grumbles before raising her voice into something more audible.] I was not defeated by a door.

[But Katniss picks up pace behind him without too much issue, for once. Sometimes she needs a break from being leader all the time, and as strained as things have gotten between them on occasion lately, she can do as much as follow him outside without being an asshole.]

[inveigled]

And had to be rescued.

[He's injecting as much playfulness as he can manage into his voice, to keep her... To keep her. That's it, that's all there is to it. He doesn't want her to storm off, doesn't want things to continue to be awkward and painful between them.

He just wants Katniss to be Katniss again.]

It'll be our secret. [Gale glances over his shoulder and grins.]

It wasn't a rescue. [But her tone is more annoyed than angry, which all in all, is probably a good sign. Katniss likes the playfulness edging into his voice. She'd never dare admit it out loud, and she can barely admit it to herself, but she misses it. Misses him. Misses them.]

[And maybe - maybe - she almost smiles when he says it can be their secret.] Let's hope it won't be a security camera's secret, too.

[inveigled]

What would you call it then? [Because she was stuck and possibly making it worse, and then he got her free. Sounds like a rescue to him.

He hesitates, uncertain for a moment, and then he nudges her in the arm. Gently, carefully, ready to pretend that it had been an accidental brush if she snaps.] I think I know someone who can fix that if it is.

[accidentalspark]

[She makes a grunty huffy noise.] You just fixed the door. It wasn't like I was stuck.

[It catches her off guard, but she doesn't really react negatively to the gesture. She doesn't nudge back, but she's not ignoring it, either.] Let me guess, his name sounds kind of like 'Beetee?'

[inveigled]

You were trapped behind a door that wouldn't open and let you out. I call that stuck.

[Oh, good. No reaction is a good reaction in his book. At least, where it concerns Katniss.] How did you know?

[accidentalspark]

[:T :T :T] I could have turned around and went the other direction. That's not stuck.

[It almost looks like she might smile, even a flicker of one.] You made it too easy. You guys are practically attached at the hip lately.

[inveigled]

[:B] But you didn't, did you? [He's so helpful, pointing things out and what not.]

Yeah, well. He's a good guy. [But he's smiling fondly.] I've learned a lot from him.

[accidentalspark]

[HUFFPUFF.] I was about to, before you showed. [:T]

[She watches his smile for a moment, before responding.] Well. He is smart. [Understatement, A+ Katniss.]

[inveigled]

No you weren't. [Come on, Catnip. He knows you wouldn't have walked away from freedom.]

That's not even the half of it when it comes to Beetee. What he has to offer is pretty amazing.

You don't know that. [Shhhhhhhh shut up.]

[She fidgets with her bow a little, stealing a glance at it.] I haven't really seen much. [She doesn't frequent weaponry okok. She'd rather not.]

[inveigled]

I know... [you, he almost says, but that's not really true anymore. He knows the shadow of her, but that's all there is these days.] I know how much you like getting out from under there. We're not meant to be stuck underground.

[Gale nods slightly.] If you ever do, I could give you the tour. [Not Beetee, not with how busy he keeps himself.]
